Communication and Travel
Northern Albertans get around on the information highway, and also travel smoothly on the more traditional roadways.  We also have well-developed air travel and train/freight/bus networks.

Information highway
Northern Alberta is connected to the globe through a mixture of internet, wireless communications, and satellite services. Alberta's fiber optic Supernet has expanded high-speed telecommunications options across the region.

Our region is part of the CANAMEX Trade Corridor, a four lane divided route intended to connect the North American continent from Mexico to Alaska.  Our major roadways also connect us with British Columbia and Alaska, the Northwest Territories and Southern Alberta.
