Communication and Travel
Northern Albertans get around
on the information highway, and also
travel smoothly on the more traditional roadways. We also have well-developed air travel and train/freight/bus networks.
Information highway
Northern Alberta is connected
to the globe through a mixture of internet, wireless communications, and
satellite services. Alberta's fiber optic Supernet has expanded high-speed
telecommunications options across the region.

Roadways
Our region is part of the CANAMEX Trade Corridor, a four lane divided route intended to connect the North American

major roadways also connect us with British Columbia and Alaska, the Northwest
Territories and Southern Alberta.
