Construction and Trades
The construction and trades sectors in Northern Alberta are expected to create up to 30,000 new jobs in the next few years.

These sectors employ a wide array of skilled people, including machinists, pipefitters, electricians, landscapers, environmental consultants, plumbers, brick layers, gas fitters, draftspersons, and heavy equipment operators.

High demand apprenticeship and journeyman positions include: automotive mechanics, heavy equipment operators, linespeople and carpenters.
